Whilst fully inflated balloons do not necessarily present an immediate danger or hazard to babies and young children, uninflated as well as burst balloons pose a very serious danger. Babies and young children may be tempted to chew and play with or attempt to inflate balloons by mouth, which can result in them accidentally sucking the balloons into their mouths. They, therefore, pose a choking or suffocation hazard.

Please immediately and safely dispose of any burst balloons. Also, ensure that you safely store any uninflated and undamaged balloons away from children.

Please also ensure that you supervise children around inflated balloons tied with sting and ribbon as the ribbon or string can also pose a risk of choking or suffocation.
